The simplest way to get to the Eggen Valley is by taking the Brenner autobahn (A22). When coming from the north, travel via Innsbruck, Brenner, Bozen Nord / Eggen Valley. When travelling from the south, travel via Verona, Bozen Nord / Eggen Valley. From the Bozen Nord / Eggen Valley autobahn exit, you'll reach the Eggen Valley and its villages in 20 minutes.

Our recommendation for your trip to the Eggen Valley:
When coming from the north, you can take a long-distance bus or train to Bozen / Bolzano and then proceed with the hourly local bus to your vacation spot in the Eggen Valley. When taking the Bozen-Eggen Valley bus (line 180), your best option is to get your free bus ticket directly onboard the bus.
The bus fare depends upon the distance you want to travel. Tickets generally cost between Euro 3.50 and Euro 5.00 per person for one trip.

The nearest airports are in Innsbruck (120 km) to the north and Verona (150 km) to the south. From Verona and Innsbruck, you can reach the Eggen Valley in less than two hours by car.

Public buses
There is a public bus which will take you directly to the Eggen Valley from the main train station in Bozen / Bolzano (where all the trains make a stop). The bus stop is located directly in front of the main train station. The travel time is about 30-40 minutes (depending upon your exact destination).
